    Atlantic recording artist and recently announced 2012 CMA New Artist of the Year nominee, Hunter Hayes is celebrating another career first this week as his current single “Wanted” races all the way to the top of the charts. The now No. 1 single is also his first to receive Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) selling over 1 million copies. “Wanted” is Hunter’s second single off his self-titled debut album, Hunter Hayes, and is also Top 20 all genres on iTunes digital charts. To date, Hunter has sold a combined total of nearly two million digital singles. His first single, “Storm Warning” is nearing Gold certification as well.

    “Seriously it's hard for me to believe I'm here talking about my first number one record,” said Hunter upon hearing his single is #1 on both radio charts. “I am unbelievably grateful for the support from Country Radio, my entire team working behind the scenes and all the incredible fans, all of whom helped me pick this song for a single and supported it all the way to where it is! Thank you! Thank you SO much!”
